I'm sick.
I lost my voice after coming down with a cold this
weekend. No smoking, no drinking, no talking...I
might as well join the monks over at the Abbey.
Despite my bout with this wretched illness, I imagine I
will end up down in the shop making more pipes this
afternoon. I have been making more pipes lately,
trying new techniques. I'm still trying to find my niche
and focus the direction of my work. I find myself
constantly experimenting. Not all these experiments
work out, but I am confident that with each failure I
am getting closer to developing my own signature
style and improving my quality along the way.
Speaking of style and quality, Randy Wiley pipes are
on sale this month. I mentioned in my post on the
forum that i think Randy is making some of the finest
pipes of his life right now. All the great features of
any high grade maker can be found in Randy's work,
but for a fraction of the cost.
